2002 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
fluctuate. January 2002 average house prices
went from $200,336 to $193,452 throughout the
month. There was a slight increase from the
January 2001 average of $193,017 which brings
us up to a 2.25% overall increase from the past
year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
increased this month. The number of units listed
in January is up 6.6% to 665 units over last
year’s 624 units. How many SOLDS did we
see? Kelowna buyers were very busy as 286 units
sold this year vs. the 139 units sold last year.
Days on market were 125 days.
February 2002 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
fluctuate. February 2002 average house prices
went from $193,452 to $194,330 throughout the
month. There was a slight increase from the
February 2001 average of $184,563 which brings
us up to a 5.29% overall increase from the past
year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
increased this month. The number of units listed
in February is up 20.2% to 661 units over last
year’s 550 units. How many SOLDS did we
see? Kelowna buyers were very busy as 408 units
sold this year vs. the 230 units sold last year.
Days on market were down a bit to 110 days.
March 2002 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
fluctuate. March 2002 average house prices went
from $194,330 to $195,478 throughout the month.
There was a slight increase from the March 2001
average of $187,120 which brings us up to a
4.46% overall increase from the past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
decreased this month. The number of units listed
in March is down 23.0% to 659 units over last
year’s 856 units. How many SOLDS did we
see? Kelowna buyers were very busy as 460 units
sold this year vs. the 280 units sold last year.
Days on market were down to 90 days.
April 2002 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
fluctuate. April 2002 average house prices went
from $195,478 to $197,902 throughout the month.
There was a slight increase from the April 2001
average of $192,129 which brings us up to a
3.0% overall increase from the past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
increased this month. The number of units listed
in April is up 6.5% to 785 units over last year’s
737 units. How many SOLDS did we see? Kelowna
buyers were very busy again as 526 units sold
this year vs. the 335 units sold last year.
Days on market held steady at 90 days.
