2003 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market remained steady
this month. January 2003 average house prices
went from $219,797 to $219,994 throughout the
month. There was a significant increase from
the January 2002 average of $193,452 which brings
us up to a 13.724% overall increase from the
past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
held steady this month. The number of units
listed in January is down 0.8% to 650 units
over last year’s 655 units. How many SOLDS
did we see? Kelowna buyers are a bit busier
with 310 units sold this year vs. the 283 units
sold last year. Days on market increased to
125 days.
February 2003 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
rise this month. February 2003 average house
prices went from $219,994 to $222,166 throughout
the month. There was a significant increase
from the February 2002 average of $194,330 which
brings us up to a 14.32% overall increase from
the past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
increased a little month. The number of units
listed in February is up 8.38% to 711 units
over last year’s 656 units. How many SOLDS
did we see? Kelowna buyers must be on holiday
as only 356 units sold this year vs. the 407
units sold last year. Days on market held steady
at 125 days.
March 2003 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market had a slight
increase this month. March 2003 average house
prices went from $222,166 to $222,907 throughout
the month. There was a significant increase
from the March 2002 average of $195,478 which
brings us up to a 14.03% overall increase from
the past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
increased a little month. The number of units
listed in March is up 8.55% to 724 units over
last year’s 667 units. How many SOLDS
did we see? Kelowna buyers are back from holiday
as 492 units sold this year vs. the 477 units
sold last year. Days on market held steady at
125 days.
April 2003 - Central Okanagan Statistics
The Kelowna real estate market continues to
rise this month. April 2003 average house prices
went from $222,907 to $233,813 throughout the
month. There was a significant increase from
the April 2002 average of $197,902 which brings
us up to an 18.14% overall increase from the
past year.
The number of Kelowna/Central Okanagan sellers
decreased this month. The number of units listed
in April is down 21.76% to 615 units over last
year’s 786 units. How many SOLDS did we
see? Kelowna buyers backed off a bit as 481
units sold this year vs. the 534 units sold
last year. Days on market held steady at 125
days.
