Fees
Explained in the Kelowna & Okanagan real estate
market.
There is no standard rate for commission and each real
estate agent will have to answer the commission rate
questions individually.
When you list your home with me, the commission fees
charged are for the SUCCESSFUL SALE of your home. Until there is a completed sale on your home, there is no charge. Upon completion I charge a commission of 7% on the first $100,000 and 3% on the remainder.
This amount is split between RE/MAX Kelowna as your listing brokerage and the brokerage of the agent representing the buyer. Of the 50% received by RE/MAX, 1/3 pays for expenses, 1/3 for income taxes and 1/3 to Wise on Real Estate.
These fees cover numerous costs which include but are
not limited to:
- Listing your home on www.mls.ca
- Listing your home on Kinnexus - the Okanagan Mainline Real Estate Board system used by all local agents.
- Listing your home on www.trishwise.com
- Home Staging Consultation plus $300 towards each month on the market
- Colour Brochures, Printing and Copying
- Lawn Sign(s)
- Lock Box
- Professional Fees and Insurance
I also give discounts back to the home seller depending
on the situation. If I represent the seller and the
buyer in a transaction then I will give a $2,000.00
discount to the sellers on the commission. If I help
the seller purchase their next home then I will give
them a 15% referral fee (15% of the commission I earned
on the purchase).
As a professional real estate agent I believe in offering
service that goes above and beyond. I have been known
to help my clients by storing furniture that needed
to be removed while the home was on the market, dog
sitting during broker tours, helping move furniture,
arrange baby-sitting and deal with contractors while
a client was out of town.
